The Facts about Falls Risk....

Risk 7

Low Blood Pressure

Low blood pressure can result in dizziness or light-headedness after getting up too quickly. If you do feel dizzy, wait a few seconds until the feeling subsides before starting to walk. It is important to have your blood pressure checked regularly.

Check with your doctor to be sure you are drinking the proper amount of water each day to maintain normal blood pressure and prevent dehydration, especially when the weather is warm. Be aware that some fluids or foods that are high in caffeine may affect your blood pressure.
