The Facts about Dementia....

What is Dementia?

The term dementia describes a group of symptoms that are caused by changes in brain function.  Symptoms may include: asking the same question repeatedly, becoming lost in familiar places, and being unable to follow directions. Persons with dementia may not recognize familiar people, and may become disoriented to time. They often neglect their personal safety, hygiene, and nutrition.
